Phil Callahan has dealt with a whole lot in his time on the force. So, he wasn't surprised when he got the call. He was surprised, however, but the managers intensity when he walked into the store. He was red in the face, shouting at the poor girl he'd just caught shoplifting, again.
She's been stealing from him for months now. It was the same thing every time, he'd catch her, he'd call the cops, Callahan would show up, she'd get dropped off down the street.
While he definitely was not supposed to do that, he knew the kid didn't need to be locked up. She wasn't hurting anyone.

Steve was calmer, holding his hands up in surrender mode. "We aren't doubting your ability to keep him safe. We just meant that the Upside Down bad stuff... it might be happening again. "
They all went quiet, thinking but Dustin was still watching her and she could tell he figured it out. "It is happening again, isn't it."

Then she gets pulled into the mysteries of Hawkins and the missing case of Will Byers. Now suddenly, wearing the Hawkins crown isn't as important as everything that completely changes Stephanie's knowledge.

Hello! I’ve decided to not finish this fic because I’m not happy with how I started the story and have changed a lot of what the future chapter would consist of, this was my first every fanfic so its not the best. Also due the byler community did die down a lot after no new content and more recently the ignorance of one of the actors have left me disappointed and made me lose the love I have for the series. I will always love byler and stranger things, and I hope to return one day and finish this story, unfortunately my story telling skills weren’t the best last year and I am working on improving before I do anything else again.
