Summary
The stockpiles of anger that had kept Jack motivated as they were worked to the bone had all but dissipated, even despite the lingering painful twinges of his muscles. None of it mattered because even as Fraiser carefully monitored his vital signs, Jack felt like he was watching Daniel die. He was pallid and feverish, acting like a cornered animal even under the influence of sedatives. It was almost like watching a rabid animal die, Jack thought, and the comparison made him sick. But Daniel was half out of his mind – not thinking clearly and motivated on one goal and one goal only, regardless of who he hurt in the process, even if that person was himself. Jack just hoped that the outcome would be better.

Summary
Danny was practically banished from his life. He rarely, if ever, heard that soft y sound attached to his name. He didn’t think he missed it, or not that much anyway. He wasn’t Danny to anyone anymore; hadn’t been for a long time.

Summary
So that first year, Jack spends a lot of time yanking Daniel, bright-eyed and whining, away from inscriptions. Or taking off his glasses, cleaning them for him, and putting them back on. Making sure his TAC vest is on correctly because what's even the point of gearing up if you’re not gonna gear up right. He’s forever saying, don’t touch that, you’re gonna get a disease. Come in from the rain, you’re gonna get a cold. Stop staring up at the pretty lights, you’re gonna get struck by fucking lightning, or this building’s gonna crumble into the ocean, you’re gonna die and—Jesus. It’s not that different from Charlie, is the thing. Jack knows it’s condescending, maybe a little weird, but he wouldn’t have to act so much like Daniel’s father if Daniel was not so good at acting like a son.

Summary
Sam is never the same again after her blending with Jolinar. Exactly how did she change, and how did she learn to live with what was done to her?
Introspection, some angst at first, but a positive ending:) It'll inevitably contain Sam/Jack, because I can't help it.
Mini trigger warning for memories of non-con situations, a tiny mention of suicidal thoughts, and a little alcohol/gambling abuse. -

Summary
Daniel was dead.
Worse, he'd died practically alone, left behind by his team.
Which was my fault, just like him dying in the first place.
I'd even missed his last breath, the last beat of his heart; I already knew he was dying, that there was nothing that could be done – instead of uselessly moving the rocks, I should have been sharing his final moments, even if he didn't know I was there doing it.
Worst?
They'd taken him away. If we ever get out of here, which is looking more and more unlikely, we probably won't be able to find him.
We won't be able to take his body home.
We won't bury him, because we left him behind.
Again.
One final time.
I was angry.
