In July 1962, Trapper and Hawkeye meet at a medical conference in Boston, and have dinner with Charles and Margaret. Hawkeye's been asked to write a book on trauma surgery in wartime: BJ is organizing a reunion for the 4077th in Chicago for the tenth anniversary of the end of the Korean war. Hawkeye flies home to New York and Francis Mulcahy.
The story follows the year from that meeting to 27th July 1963 when the 4077th meet in Chicago: the (so far) final story of the Sins and Virtues series.

Summary
The day that Peg told BJ she was pregnant, BJ made a quiet promise to himself. Never be like Dad - and up until this point he had done a damned good job of holding true to that whispered promise. He kept his anger in check, especially when he was drunk. Always lucid enough to reel himself back in.

Summary
BJ has known the guy — been in his presence — for about ten minutes and already knows they have something in common. Even if Winchester is an older surgeon, established in his specialty, and BJ’s specialty is just being drafted. Winchester spends each of those ten minutes fussing over the scrub sink, clamoring for a safe place to stow his wedding ring.
What if Hawkeye was the Swamp's only bachelor?

Summary
BJ was still doing extra favors for Hawkeye – refilling his coffee in the mess tent, wrapping up a post-op shift for Hawkeye – and neither of them had said anything about it. At least not yet. Hawkeye was patiently waiting for the right window, when BJ was drunk enough to be a little loose-lipped but not so drunk that he’d lash out in anger. After eighteen months of being side by side, he knew exactly when to press BJ on important questions.
And so, partway through BJ’s fourth beer, Hawkeye carefully set his own drink on the table and asked, “Can we talk about Peg?”

Summary
Suddenly he felt panicked and crazy. Dreams weren’t like this. Dreams didn’t rake the hot coals of the past so aggressively. Nostalgia, fantasy, booze tinted glasses were one thing, but this was another.
“It feels so real, Hawk,” BJ mumbled.
“BJ?” Hawkeye said. BJ could see him lift his head. His hair stood up, making a funny shadow on the wall. “Did you say something? Are you dreaming?”
“I can’t tell. This feels just like the day we met,” BJ said.
“The day we—oh,” Hawkeye’s voice got thin and vulnerable. “Oh, BJ, it’s all going to be okay. Trust me. You know me, don’t you? You know I wouldn’t lie?”
(BJ and Hawkeye get stuck in a time loop.)
