Kacchan has always said that Izuku has shit luck. But Izuku wouldn't say he had bad luck, sure his quirk came in late, causing his father to leave him, but that doesn't mean anything. And sure people would constantly bully him for his lack of quirk, and then once he got a quirk, an extremely powerful one, people just got worse.
And to top it all off he somehow won the genetic lottery by ending up as a male omega, not only putting him in danger of people harrassing him for his hand in marriage, but also, in combination with his powerful quirk, putting him in actual danger of the hero commission buying him to breed him. And sure maybe he somehow manages to stumble his way into crappy situations, but it was never anything too serious.
But no, Izuku wouldn't say he had bad luck... or at least he didn't.
But now, staring at the sludge looming over the emaciated man, Izuku can't help but think maybe Kacchan was a tiny bit right.

A very powerful and accomplished kid who was now a seven-year-old, who has no idea of the power that he has, or knows that he uses to regularly beat up gods before breakfast. Now, standing here on this cold beach, still grappling with the fact that he’s twenty-five again, he can’t help but compare Sally and Poseidon for what is probably the hundredth time. If Poseidon was the ocean, Sally was the Titanic, beautiful, elegant, and quite in its strength and integrity, but even though the Titanic might have been the strongest ship of its time, it was just another ship that the ocean sank.
And standing right here in the past, facing the father of monsters like this, that couldn’t be clearer to him.
