Finarfin wanted the party to go well. Finarfin’s brothers were invited, and Earwen had tasked him with making sure they were both on their best behaviour.
I’m sure they will be, Finarfin thought, as he put on his green trousers. They have been behaving so well, since their return.

Summary
Feanoro has always been fiercely protective of his family, and Arafinwe knows this. When it is announced Feanaro will be returning from Mandos, he expects nothing in this regard to have changed, at least. What Arafinwe does not expect, however, is that Feanaro now has a broader definition of whom he considers “family”.
In which the court of Arafinwe and every other soul in Aman quickly comes to learn that Feanaro, Spirit of Fire, Creator of the Silmarils, Former King and Leader of the Exiled Noldor, etc, will not suffer anyone to raise a finger against his baby brother the king. Said baby brother has been High King of the Noldor for 7,000 years and counting, and is quite frankly bemused and more than a little concerned about the entire situation.

Tensions escalate rapidly between the Noldor at Lake Mithrim. With Fingon gone, the other children of Nolofinwe hatch a plan to hold Celebrimbor hostage in exchange for his family's good behavior. Nolofinwe agrees.
When the kingship changes hands, Celebrimbor does not.

Years have passed since their marriage, and Maedhros and Findelwen couldn't be happier. Their families are still the most chaotic royal bunch in the face of Arda, but it's nothing they can't handle. But peace never lasts forever: The Festival of the Trees is appoaching, the moment of the year were Laurelin and Telperion's lights shine brighter. It should be a moment of celebration, but instead it will be a moment of darkness like no one has ever seen.
WARNING: This fic is much darker than the last, due to the themes of tragedy, captivity and torture. You better have some tissues with you, because this will be a very emotional read. Seriously, I cried while writting this. Have a good read!

Summary
Fingon's spirt doesn't move on after his death, but rather attaches itself to Maedhros and changes the course of the future of Arda. Maedhros choses to atone for his actions rather than go forward with the Fourth Kinslaying. However spirits aren't meant to dwell in Middle Earth and those that do fade away. Maedhros and Fingon must deal with the consequences of their actions while trying to forge a new path ahead.

Never have I ever written an ABO story, until now.
The usual suspects in a different setting but still having family dynamics from hell and so many grievances. Also, everybody is even younger and more confused than the last time. It is still Arda in spirit and custom but geographically it is more like Earthsea.
Like I feared, this turned out to be a somewhat epic endeavor, with a bunch of children craving attention, mysteries, agricultural problems, battles of different kinds, dreams, omens and portents, Dwarrow, fertility rituals, good and evil Valar and me being unexpectedly lenient towards Kings Thingol and Ingwë. And of course there are dragons, too.
There probably should be more sex, and less meetings, but there is a war to be waged and people to be saved, so busy parents have to take what they can get.
So, Prince Fëanáro is returning to the Isle of Tirion from a bout of island hopping....

And so, after millennia of suffering and pain, the royal family of the Noldor was reunited. The three houses had returned to the world, their bright eyes and souls graced the living once more.
All was going smoothly, and would have been perfect if not for one absence, a hole left on the tapestry that could possibly destroy all of its unity. It was perceptible on Prince Fingon’s expectant gaze, which slowly diminished as time passed, in the tired gaze and trembling hands of Prince Turgon, on Princess Aredhel’s tight smile as she talked to her son, on Prince Argon’s confused and impatient expression, on Lady Anairë’s silence and distant self.
The High King that had wounded The Enemy by himself had not returned. For some he was still the High King, for others he was a Prince, for most he was a hero deeply grieved. No matter the title, the fact was that Fingolfin had not been reborn.

The Dagor Dagorath ended. Morgoth was dead.
The Valar need to move on and reweave the world, but they can't take those that have been Marred into the new world. And so, some of the elves and men and dwarves are left behind in Arda Marred.
Nolofinwe wakes up on the day the Sun was supposed to rise in Tirion with the feeling that something is very, very wrong. He doesn't know what it is, but with his brother's help, perhaps they can unravel the tangled threads that are plaguing this new world of theirs.

Some of the elves in Valinor rope themselves into (or get roped into) shenanigans as a direct result of the magical shockwave (yes, the second one). Whether it ends well for Valinor or for the wizarding world is well… it’s a difficult thing to predict.

Galadriel and Ereinion are bored; Elrond wants to let his inner mad scientist out; Fingolfin just wants to wallow alone for a while; Finarfin is in desperate need of a vacation and Feanor decides it’s time to break himself and his only blood-related grandson out of the Halls of Mandos.
