Summary
After the fall of the Elder Brain, Baldur's Gate rebuilds. In the months after, the heroes and their allies alike start to build their new lives, finding their places in this new version of the Gate. The funny thing about Faerun, though, is that things are never quiet for too long. Even though the hero's party may be scattered, and some indeed done with adventuring, there is always a need for brave adventurers to face the danger head on. Who will step up to answer the call? How will the new Archduke and Duchess handle running the city? And how do the newest citizens adjust to life in their new home?

This Act takes place further into Flora's second trimester and will take us up to the end of the third. Flora has been enjoying life again, now that peace has been restored to the Reclaimed Lands and her difficult pregnancy symptoms are behind her. She has begun the work of unraveling the web of childhood trauma that she's carried for so long in order to be the best version of herself for her, Halsin, and the baby. Her world is once again shaken up though by the news that some of her family she previously thought had perished may actually live - and be closer than she thinks.

Halsin found himself in a party of adventurers, and two of his partners impressed him the most with their might and grace on the battlefield. Morissey was a powerful druid, but she hadn't known of her abilities until she found herself in the wilderness channeling primal magic. Halsin gladly stepped in as her mentor, and each time he found himself alone with her he felt the hammering in his chest grow louder. Did she see him as anything more than just her mentor?
Shadowheart's vehement defense of her dark goddess disgusted Halsin when he first learned of it. It was a truth he found difficult to swallow after traveling alongside the cleric for so long. He thought she was better than that- that the real her would recognize Shar's dark purpose... would anything he said against her goddess be able to persuade her, or would it only drive a rift further between them?
Halsin x Shadowheart slowburn, but Halsin also has feelings for the druid Tav of the group that bubble from time to time. Some chapters will be *spicy* but others will be story-focused. Complimentary fic to my main story "Weaving Wonders", a lot of the same events occur but you see a different perspective that is 'off screen' in my main fic.

Pipes rang out, bright and ethereal, and Enelya spun in place, planting her feet into the earth as she rolled her body up from her knees to her neck. Her hair fell in a curtain over her eyes as she swung her head in a circle. She brought her arms up to sweep it back from her face, her fingers brushing against her flushed skin, when the hair along her arms and the back of her neck began to raise.
She snapped her head up to glance around her but continued to dance, the music driving her body almost without thought. She searched the crowd as she spun past, their faces a blur, yet the prickling along her skin didn't stop.
She was being watched.
