Summary
In this alternate universe, BunBun survives alongside Pibby, instead of being corrupted by the darkness. That's right, Pibby's able to pull her bunny pal out in this universe. I had originally made this story as a comic a long time ago, but I had wanted to put it into digital form, and this is it! A lot of the stuff in the tags won't show up until later on, but they're there so you know what to expect from this story. The FNAF animatronics are small, cute versions of themselves, but not their adventure forms from FNAF World. Also, Beta Kid is who you guys call 'Alloy Boy'.

Frisk climbs a mountain and inadvertently awakens an ancient terror sleeping beneath the flowerbed they land on when they fall. If by "ancient terror" one assumes the less-popular definition of "annoying narrator-ghost princet of monsterkind who is now, unfortunately, permanently stuck in their head."
Chara doesn't want to be awake. They especially don't want to be helpless in the back of a bloodthirsty human's head, watching them ruin the only home they've ever known with no power other than their voice to fight back with. Luckily for them, that's not what's happening at all. Unluckily for them, they may have to re-evaluate a few things about their worldview. Which, for someone as set in their ways as them, is not an easy thing to do.

In Deltarune's world, Chara and Frisk both run away from their 'homes' the same night. Unbeknownst from each other, they still arrive at the same little town.
Wounded, Chara has to be taken in. With nowhere else to go, Frisk is sent with them to stay with Toriel for the time being.
Kris is not too happy about this, especially since soon, everything will be set into motion. Two human kids, one acting out and the other curious to a concerning extent, will only make it harder for them. At least it can't get even more complicated.
...why is there a third one and why are they here ?? To... 'find the missing kid' ?

Frisk has faced danger and death many more times than any child should ever have to, but they aren't out of the woods yet. Being the first human in who-knows-how-long able to use magic has shoved them back in the spotlight. And just when their life was settling down into whatever counts as "normal" for the town of Ebott's Wake, where monsters sell ice cream and the gym teacher thinks anime is real.
It's nothing they haven't had to deal with before at this point, but that doesn't mean it's going to be easy, even with Papyrus taking over as Ambassador and the Finest scientific minds in the town working on a way to help Chara. After all, the first fallen human climbed Mt. Ebott for a reason, and it wasn't a very happy one.
