Unknown to the Scions, after the events of the end of the Dragonsong War, Ayme4ic gifted the Warrior of Light a manor in Ishgard. It went completely unused until the Final Days were averted.
The first visitors are Estinien and Alphinaud, finding that Ryder is definitely not making good use of such a big space. It would definitely be better with all of the Scions there, and even better if they rekindled what they all had before the world was on fire.

Mistakes and choices were made in the past and future, and now there are Four Warriors of Light who could all easily take center stage and be the hero. However, one does appear to shine brighter than the others, perhaps that's whom the story is meant for?
Even then, having FOUR Warriors of Light can't be a bad thing, right? The established timeline won't change that much...

Summary
"A Duet Amidst Fading Stars" is Armistice Elegies' take on the alternative timeline alluded to in Shadowbringers, where the Black Rose completely devastated the Source. It will follow G'raha Tia's years before Project NOAH successfully vaulted him and the Crystal Tower in the First. Of the five Warriors of Light and Darkness in our story, only one survived in this alternative timeline. "Fading Stars", we note, will also cover G'raha's time in the First before he pulled the Scions and Eorzea's Champions across the rift.
In this prologue, 182 years into the future, Crystal Tower's defense systems have gone silent without explanation. Two young engineers discover the legendary hero sleeping within it.
I'm not sure how well this story can stand on its own without any context from Armistice, so I'd suggest at *least* reading Timeless Love Song and Dirge, which cover our redux for ARR and ARR's patches respectively.
