A spark started in Clint’s heart. One he thought would’ve been stomped out a while ago. He watched Bucky smile to himself and then glance out of the window, “The snow is lifting. We should get a move on.”
Clint snapped his head back to the dashboard, “Ah, yeah.” He started the car. It took a few tries, the motor barely functioning in the cold. The heat began to circulate through the car as Clint turned, finding his way to the main road again. Now was no time to pine over unrequited feelings. They had a home to get to. -

Emma's parents were murdered when she was a child. Spending most of her life sheltered by her grandmother, she's on her own now after discovering her grandmother died while Emma was vanished for five years. Seemingly by chance, she runs into a stranger who makes her feel like life is okay for a little while. But his secrets may threaten to disrupt everything in her already lonely life.
Bucky is working on completing his list of amends. When he meets the young woman whose parents he killed during his time as the Winter Soldier, he can’t help but be drawn to her despite his guilt. Just as he has difficulty with admitting the truth to Yori, he can’t seem to tell her, afraid it’ll drive her away from him for good.
Story starts a few months before TFATWS, and will eventually lead into the show. I like to try to stick to canon as much as possible but there will be some minor differences of course.

The doctor went on to explain symptoms in further detail and ways to treat it, however his words blended into unintelligible nothingness upon finally receiving an answer as to what was wrong with him. The continuous overwhelming fears, the sleepless nights, the nightmares tormenting his mind once he could fall asleep, the controlling nature, the panic attacks, the stretched out phone calls, the constant need to be with him 24/7.
It all made so much sense.
