Summary
Jack is a zombie. That he knows for a fact. His heart didn’t beat. His wounds, if he had them, wouldn’t hurt or heal. So the only logical explanation was that he was dead. But he didn’t act dead. He’s not talking about the corpse littering the streets. He’s talking about how he wasn’t like the other undead. He could talk and walk better, he eats less and can sometimes stomach human food. But he is still undeniably dead.
So what do you do when a human mistakes you for a living human instead of undead. While at least he seems interesting maybe this won’t be so bad. He could pretend to be alive for a little while. It’ll be funnier than staring at nothing… right?

In a skewed battle to defeat the King of Darkness once more, Pitch Black attempts to steal the Mirror of Time for reasons that will soon be revealed. The Guardians are left in a tussle preventing this from happening- the results less than desirable once they realize they have sent themselves back in time further than intended. Cut off from the magic connecting them to the Man in Moon of their world, Jack Frost must now find a way to reunite everyone, bring the magic back in his arsenal, find Pitch Black, and somehow not die throughout this trip. Preferably in that order. Somehow, Jack Frost got more than what he bargained for.

Summary
Pitch Black, a monster. A terrorizer. A lonely sad man.
After the man in the moon picks a new guardian the team realizes they haven’t seen Pitch in a while. Thinking he’s plotting something horrible they go down to find him.
What if instead of some horrible scheme they find a mentally and physically broken pitch and decide (some reluctantly) to nurse him back to health.
And along the way they find out a few more hidden things about our beloved shadow man.

Their job is as ancient as life itself, pitch takes their job seriously
As it is their duty to protect children with the use of fear and nightmares to teach children about very real dangers that could lead to the little one's being hurt or worse the little one's deaths
So why don't the Guardians and Tsar ever remember those fundamental facts?
Why does Pitch have to fight the so called guardians of childhood constantly just to continue doing their job?

"I didn't know you could actually kill those things without Sandy's magic..."
There was no comment.
"Pitch?..."
The man didn't reply.
"Come on.." The guardian grumbled as he turned around. "Don't sulk now cause you helped the good gu-"
Now Jack didn't know much, but he knew one thing for certain. The man in chains was not Pitch Black.//or//
The sequel no one asked for that ties in the books and redeems Pitch, changing him back to Kozmotis.
