He felt his body burn up like he was being boiled alive only to wake up falling from the sky to a city unknown to him: Gotham. Meeting vigilantes he's never even heard of. Or seeing a gothically cursed city that cannot have this much crime, that should be impossible...
Peter has so many questions.

Summary
At approximately 5:27 each morning, Peter watches the Chrysler Building turn gold. And each morning, he lays in his bed, weighed down by an expensive comforter and lack of sleep, and watches the sun rise from the big window in what is supposed to be his room. Even after two months of this routine, of living in a new place, he still longs for the soft morning light that trickled in through his tiny window back home. As he watches New York wake up, Peter can’t help but think how unfair it is that everyone else is continuing on like normal. That the loss of May Parker didn’t cause the world to stop turning the way Peter’s world did. That May deserved the world, but that it doesn’t seem to care that she isn’t there anymore.

“Can I help you with something?” Vivian asks without looking up from her mail.“No,” Peter says with a shake of his head and narrowing eyes. “Not at all. Just wondering how you’re moving around like that, is all.” He stares at her bruises.
She slams her mailbox closed and turns to face him. “You know,” she says, “you seem awfully concerned with how I’m doing. Maybe you should talk to a therapist. Work out that hero complex.”
His jaw clenches so hard she hears it. “Oh wow… You’re sorta amazing, you know that?” He takes a small step away from the stairwell towards her. “I’ve never meet anyone who,” he pauses before briefly looking around the lobby. “Who could just,” he holds up his hand as he speaks and mimics an explosion. “Blow up any interaction that fast. And that’s really saying something because if you could see the people I know? I mean, wow…”

“Told me what?” Tony asked. There was very little about the Parkers that Tony felt like he didn’t know at this point to the point that he was caught off guard. Sure, certain past things of Peter’s childhood when his parents were still alive were still a mystery but the more recent years were all common knowledge to Tony at this point.
Which is why May’s answer felt like a punch to the gut.
“Today is the anniversary of when Ben died.”
