An absolutely wonderfully done fanfic -- the Sages fanfic I have always wanted
It's generally an absolute emotional roller-coaster, from the suffocating, ugly, depths of the interpersonal drama, and the sweet relief of the highs. The fic's rising tension kept me salivating for the every chapter, with the constant switching between past and present providing great contrast from the more visceral disagreements to pure melancholy and remembrance.
'Course the sages here are the stars of the show. Kasen and Okina dont get enough love from the fandom, let alone the sages as a whole, but here every single one of them are done wonderfully. (Also an actual depiction of a disabled Okina???)
Like each one of them provides a perfect backdrop to their canon selves, filling out what's actually behind the personas that they wear. (lmao the confrontation between Kasen and Yukari in WaHH just keeps on giving hm?)
