Connor is allowed to return to the precinct to work, and life begins to change as tension grows. Connor doesn't understand human body language and affection, mistaking Hank's actions for hatred. Hank appreciates everything Connor does for him, and wants to give something in return, but no matter what he does Hank isn't allowed to return the favor or take care of him. Two idiots oblivious and in love.

Connor tilted his head, the gears in his mind working overtime to understand the slang. "Itch?" he repeated, his voice flat.
"Yeah," Hank said, his voice dropping low, "you know, when you need a... a release?"
The elevator dinged, and the doors slid open. Connor stepped out, his boots clacking against the concrete floor. "I am an android," he said, his eyes meeting Hank's. "I do not experience physical pleasure."

Connor got up the two steps that led up into the house, holding out a tentative hand to lay over Sumo’s hand, looking at Hank as if to ask for permission. Instead of pushing into it like he usually would have, though, Sumo kept going, approaching until he could press his nose into Connor’s crotch.
“Sumo!” Hank gave him a light smack to the side, face beet red. “You fucking—get—sorry, he doesn’t usually do this.”
What an introduction.
