Summary
The last time she had seen her older brother in the flesh, photographs not counting, he’d still been bright eyed and innocent. This Scrooge was hardened, jaded and weary. His eyes were colder, thin creases lining them as his skin had aged under the Yukon sun and snow glare alike. His large hands were calloused, his beak set in a perpetual scowl rivaling Hortense’s. His demanding presence seemed at once too much for the tiny, lazy village of Macduich, Dismal Downs. His hair was still unruly, and his whiskers had grown in fuller.
