Dazai swung open the door with a flourish, barging into the room with a huge smile.
“Chibi! What took you so long to wake up? I was starting to think you’d stay asleep forever!” he chirped.
Chuuya blinked at him, puzzled.
“Do I know you?”

After getting hit by an ability, Chuuya gets knocked out and stays unconscious for a few days. Dazai goes to annoy him as soon as he hears he woke up, only to realise the redhead doesn’t recognise him.
It stirs up a lot of unwanted emotions in Dazai’s chest, and the two are now forced to deal with the messy, fragile remains of their relationship they thought they left behind.

Summary
When Dazai leaves the Port Mafia, suspicion naturally falls on all members of the organization that were close to him; specifically, Nakahara Chuuya. Subordinates whisper that the legendary other half of double black surely had something to do with the Demon Prodigy's disappearance. However, Mori isn't about to let the organization crumble over rumors in the dark and other, lesser schemes to overthrow him.
It was supposed to be temporary. Chuuya was supposed to be a brief example, a brief demonstration of the mafia's ironclad control. It would cement his own loyalty in the mind of his subordinates, after all. All things considered, it was a decent plan.
At least until fury and betrayal were churning uselessly in his stomach as he screamed in the darkness, beyond the reach of anyone who would care enough to listen.

Summary
After Dazai's death in the Beast universe, Chuuya went on a rampage which lead to him being captured by the government. Having long wanted to get their hands on him, as soon as it became clear that no one was coming for him, they once again began experimenting on him.
Eventually the situation led to his death, but that was not the end. Reborn as his younger self in a different version of the world, he perhaps has a chance at finally finding happiness. Provided he doesn't get pulled into any conflicts.

“I don’t know,” he said simply.
“How do you not know?” Dazai asked, incredulous.

“Fine. Answer another one of my questions then. What was the deal Mori made with you?”
Chuuya frowned, and Dazai realized he slipped up. “Mori-sensei.” Dazai corrected, but Chuuya had moved on already.
“He told me that if I stayed, he would help me get my memory back."OR,
Mori's orphanage is not what it seems, and when 7-year-old Chuuya arrives at its doorsteps, Dazai is eager to use him to escape. But it's easier said than done. Dazai wants to leave as soon as possible, but Chuuya just won't stop making... friends?

With the tip of his finger he tilted Chuuya’s chin upward; in that mocking, honeyed tone he spoke, “Is the little sheep running away? And at this hour of the night? How sweet. You know, this honestly could’ve put me to sleep—if only we had a few fences on the property~"
In that instant, Chuuya’s pride consumed him: he spat in Dazai’s face.

“FUCK OFF!! LET ME GO!!!” Chuuya threw his head back and kept screaming on the hospital bed fought hard against the hands restraining him. The Port Mafia’s doctors and nurses —and Dazai, who was trying to keep him from using his ability, everyone was trying to calm Chuuya down. “DON’T YOU TOUCH ME, YOU SONS OF BITCHES! I SAID LET ME GO!!—”
He and Dazai had been sent on a special mission for the Port Mafia, and things went horribly wrong. As a result, Chuuya was raped and held captive by the enemies for three days. After the mafia team rescued Chuuya they took him to the Port Mafia hospital. He was in Mori’s medical ward. During the twenty-four hours he’d been in the ward, Chuuya had attempted suicide several times.
And now...
“BRING THE SEDATIVE!” Dazai ordered in a cold, cutting voice, as if issuing a single command rather than shouting. Intervention was necessary; the crisis had to be brought under control or Chuuya’s body would suffer more damage.
