Summary
Three years after the death of her husband Louis, Ciel Foxglove-Guiabern gets a letter from Louis that claims he is waiting for her in Silent Hill. Upon arriving there however, instead of the scenic and peaceful town that she and her husband stayed in all that time ago, she is met with a foggy ghost town swarming with horrific monsters, including one wearing a pyramid-shaped helmet that is particularly focused on her. And to further add to her confusion, she encounters a man named Lou who looks almost completely identical to her late husband, as well as a young boy named Will who has some sort of connection to Louis. Will Ciel be able to find her husband, or will madness end up consuming her?
Or: Metaphor Refantazio and Silent Hill 2 are two of my favourite games of all time, so I made a self-indulgent fic which tells a slightly abridged version of SH2's story but with my Metaphor OC/Canon pairing Ciel/Louis in the roles of James and Mary/Maria respectively, as well as Will in the role of Laura. This fic is mainly based on the original 2001 version of SH2 with some elements taken from/inspired by the game's novelisation and the 2024 remake.
