Summary
Two decades after the Inferi first crawled from the rivers, Regulus learned what the universe had already made clear: it doesn’t owe the living anything.
And while he accepted that fact, he chooses to fight against it all the same. Defying fate and discovering the consequences.
Told from Regulus’s POV, the story follows five survivors: Regulus, James, Sirius, Remus, and Lily. They navigate the ruins of the Scottish Lowlands in order to survive the Inferi, the elements, and other cruelties in what remains of humanity.
