The village was quiet today. It must have been bustling, earlier, it nearly always was on a Friday, but likely because of him they closed themselves away. He looked longingly in the direction of his family’s home, seeing the window shutters of his youngest sister’s room be slammed closed. He missed them, so much. He hoped they were doing well without him. He would often take care of most of the chores around the house, and Nemo would always complain about the blisters she got from using the scythe in the fields. The reverend clicked his tongue loudly, and Sam turned his gaze back to the smaller figure. He looked disappointed, snapping his fingers once and pointing to the ground next to him. Samson stilled, before shuffling to his side.
“Thatcher. You know you can’t.” Sam swallowed back a saddened noise. He knows. He knows he can’t.

It had been a long day, and Ruby was exhausted. Well it was more accurate to say it had been a long life, or series of them.
She’d thought when she’d fallen into the Ever After that things might start to get better. Heck she’d found this weird place, and her semblance had changed, evolved like Ren’s had!
Time Travel! How cool was that? Ok, well it was more like she could only go back to the point where she’d first unlocked her semblance, but still!
With that she could go back, and change things, help prevent so many deaths, and save everyone! At least that had been her thought.
