Kara's expression however held no amusement over her 'dream.' Instead, she took a deep breath and tilted her head downward, as if ashamed. "Well, actually..." She sat down on the sofa across from Lena and lifted her head to meet Lena's gaze.
Next to her, James vigorously shook his head, his hand still on Lena's back. Lena looked between the two, confused, her brain irritatingly slower than normal.
Kara clasped her hands between her knees and a look of earnest worry and hope creased her lips and brow.
The realization dawned like the sun rising in the morning.
It hadn't been a dream.
