Summary
At some point in Jamie’s life, he is going to have to admit that he doesn’t know what the word traumatizing means. Sure, he could look it up in a dictionary or whatever, but a dry definition from some dead prick isn’t going to explain where the boundary lies between something normal that just felt bad and something that traumatized him, something that shouldn’t have happened at all—if the world was nice and fair.
Really, he’d prefer not to have to figure it out. He’d prefer to just focus on footie and his team and the weird, intense, wonderful thing that might be happening with Roy, and he’d be allowed to have that—if the world was nice and fair.

“I’m just tired. But I can’t sleep, and I can’t eat.”
- JamieThat line from 3x11 got me thinking: How long has this been going on? How long has he been holding this in? What happens when he tries to eat/sleep? When did he first realize that something was wrong?
This one-shot is an exploration of his emotional decline prior to and during 3x11.

For this prompt: "his conversation with his mum being much more intense as she was not aware of James physical abuse or of what happened in Amsterdam, she only knew James was absent and was shit/drunk/emotionally abusive when present"
It's the conversation from the episode, some Jamie and his mum content but a bit more sad :)

I loved the boot room scene a whole bunch but the press thing before that??? Absolutely loved that as well.
So yeah, have some Roy POV of Jamie shit talking himself in front of journalists until he breaks down.
