“You should hurry up, this warm water is good but it won’t stay like that forever.” He heard more rustling, and a couple seconds passed before he saw the very tips of her frizy white hair in the very corners of his vision and the water began to sway back and forth in the tub with a disturbance.
He could hear and feel her sinking into the water across from him, experiencing the same instant relief that he had upon descending into the tub. He tucked his knees to his chest self-consciously, remembering that he was quite the tall guy.
Or, Lucia and Jin take a bath together in the aftermath of the fall.

Your magic is cold. The scales you clutch at to hold steady are colder. Staring down at you—unfeeling, imposing, impartial—you see that the moon above is coldest.
Despite this, you can still feel the warmth of Everett's hand, holding yours firmly but carefully, so as not to pierce you with his claws. The Everett you knew before was cold in contrast, always harsh words and rocky facades full of a determination you could never fully understand. He had always seemed so confident, so sure of himself and his goals to the point of tunnel vision, so focused on strength that he almost lost all of what made him human in the first place to take it.
Almost.

“Yes, Master,” They both said in unison.
Training with their Master can and always will involve some sort of danger. It's in its nature. But some injuries are worse than others.

SPOILERS FOR THE TMK FINALE
Suddenly a hand reached out from the darkness in the Moonbeast’s chest to Lucia. Even though it lacked the claws he once had, Lucia knew it was Everett’s. Lucia took the hand in hers and in that moment, she got an idea. She wasn’t very strong. She didn’t ever have much strength left in her body, but maybe, if the stars willed it, this might work.
There wasn’t much time to deliberate, so with all of her strength, she pulled on Everett’s hand. At first, she thought this was stupid. Everett wasn’t budging and she was just going to end up hurting him, but then she noticed some movement. It was slow at first, then all at once Everett, completely lacking any monstrous appearance, was pulled from the heart of the Moonbeast.

“Don’t you think that the approach could be different?” Lucia tried to stay in the moment. It felt absurd to say this to someone who was tasked with killing monsters, but the thought of even more death, even if it wasn’t human, made her feel sick. “Less violent?”
