It was a perfect, picturesque scene: two lovers joining hands in the middle, ready to be bound for life as man and wife, king and queen, till there's a loud yell, “Stop the wedding!” A loud, raspy voice calls out to the crowd before barreling down, maneuvering his way to the ground before landing somewhat gracefully.
“Sorry, is this bad timing?” The blue troll asks as he pushes his green and pink goggles back up his head. Jett looks over to Branch, who wears a strange expression—he can nearly see the gears turning in his head—staring at the strange troll. Then, Branch lets out a soft gasp before the troll continues to speak, deep voice booming as he moves closer. Something about this voice is familiar, though…

Summary
Surviving in the wilderness really isn't all it's cracked up to be.
After being gone for a year, John Dory returns to the Troll Tree to find it completely empty. Save for one troll: His baby brother, Branch. Thinking the trolls and the rest of his family dead, he sets off once again to the Neverglade Trail, this time, with his baby brother in tow. Fueled by fear, guilt, and voices from the past he just can't seem to escape, he wonders if he made the right decision.
But he promised his brother he would never leave him again. So he wouldn't.
Besides, he was never known for his great decisions anyways.
(Based on the song "Great Decisions" by Judah & the Lion)

He’d probably feel pretty alone. At least, until a certain egg shows up…
OR
Floyd basically ends up raising Branch while trying to heal from his family abandoning him. Oh, and, the other brothers have no idea Branch exists. Floyd-centered, because his role deserves more recognition.

All five brothers startled, looking up. Finding an exuberant, grinning Poppy and Viva standing there, on the other side of Branch’s bed, and looking at them as if they had meant to do that (they still did, but they didn’t want to explain things to them. Not quite yet at least). A brief, but at the same time long silence filled the room as the brothers all looked at one another.
Or: Poppy and Viva decide to pull a little prank on the brothers. It goes almost according to plan.
