Summary
Uzi Doorman is tired of everyone's fearmongering. The electric fence is sturdy, they're safe inside, and the disassembly drones are too stupid to break into the bunker. Even if they did, her new railgun would solve that problem quick.
Lizzy disagrees. More and more attacks are being reported, and every day the disassembly drones get closer and closer to the fence. They're smart and she knows it. But the extent of their intelligence remains uncertain.
Thad doesn't have a stance on the issue. It was never his job to worry about those kinds of things. He's an engineer, not a zoologist or electrician.
But after a study gone wrong takes the fence out for the foreseeable future, all three of them must grapple with their strengths and shortcomings to survive being hunted down by the deadliest creatures on Copper-9.

I started writing this after Jurassic World Rebirth released because it seems like the franchise is moving away from dinosaurs 'in our world' but that doesn't mean there aren't stories still to tell with that concept. There are no mutants or hybrids in this story. Dinosaurs that behave, and hunt, like animals.

Chapter 1. Yarleny comes home, sees a small animal she's never seen before.
Note: The movie came out in 1993, but I'm following the novel timeline which would mean the events happened before 1991. Kind of an inconsistency, but for the sake of this story, the events of the first movie take place pre-1991.

I've heard it said by a LOT of people that Jurassic World sucks. I've also heard it said that Jurassic World is a fantastic and fun action movie—but a TERRIBLE sequel to Jurassic Park. I was reading the original JP novel and thought hey...I'm going to rewrite the Jurassic World movie into book form and change the stuff that made me mad! for fun! so this is that: a rewrite of the movie done out of love for the JP book & movie (and appreciation for the parts of the JW movie that DIDN'T piss me off lmao). I firmly believe what made the Jurassic Park movie/book so good was that the humans acted like humans, and the animals acted like animals. in Jurassic World, I'm of the opinion that the people in JW acted like action heroes & the animals acted like killing machines. ideal for an action move!!! not so ideal for a Jurassic Park sequel, in my mind. that's my premise!
will I finish it? I don't know! but I'm having fun so far.

To make matters worse they aren't the only people on the island who shouldn't be there as Lewis Dodgson has sent his operatives to try and retrieve Genetic stock from the animals on the island.
Elsewhere on the Island, members of the Ingen team, and Robert Muldoon's daughter Lara, are here to tend to their own studies.
They all just so happen to arrive at the same time as Henry Wu's wayward Spinosaurus has escaped into the ecosystem and She intends to carve her niche into the biosphere no matter who or what gets in her way.
