If I could go back in time and stop myself from tying my shoelaces halfass that morning, I would actually scratch that, I'd burn the shoelaces and the shoes and probably the entire school courtyard while I'm at it.
Because on the very first day of my final year, I, Yuuri Katsuki, managed to perform the single most career-ending stunt in high school history. I accidentally fell face first into another guy's crotch.
And not just any guy. Oh no.
Fate decided to spice things up by making it be Victor Nikiforov, captain of the basketball team, human statue, and universally agreed upon most unattainable male in our school. He was tall, lean, and had that silent, brooding look that made girls write his name in their notebooks with glitter pens.

The first time accountant Viktor Nikiforov meets his new client, Yuuri Katsuki is lounging inside a diamond-filled tub, drinking champagne while his very small poodle naps on a shaggy, white rug, probably dreaming of free-range chicken liver. Yuuri almost chokes at the sight of him, “Oh my god. When I told the agency that I wanted a more low-key aesthetic, I didn’t mean a suit from the sales-rack at Sears!” Or Yuuri lives in total opulence, mistakes his accountant for a stripper, and proceeds to fall in love (and tries to corrupt) the most financially conservative man in the world. Meanwhile, Viktor just wants to help Yuuri not go broke by age 35.

Victor whips around. “Yuuri,” he calls. Yuuri lies on the ice in a crumpled heap below the boards. Victor rushes over to him. “Yuuri, are you okay? What happened?”
“I was trying the quad axel again, and it didn’t go so well…” He trails off with that cute, embarrassed slant to his words, and if Victor wasn’t still on high alert from the fall, he would tell him so.
