it rained down everywhere turning the world into a desolate wasteland deserts for miles and miles.
Now you live in districts to survive, but what's the good in just being a number.
Why would you look forward to a future of infinite nothing, can you run from that?

Oliver had never felt heartbreak like the news that Amelia was going to move over the summer. The soulmate tattoo on his back- a maned wolf - had been itchy ever since. He tried not to think too hard about that. If she was- But there was no way. It didn't bear thinking about. He would simply enjoy the rest of the year with her, and then once she left.. He would deal with it. One way or another.
Amelia had no intention of leaving Oliver behind in the summer, not that she seemed able to get that through his head. The dhole on her back hurt every time they talked about the summer. But what scared her more was the way she felt it fade too when they did. So no, she wasn't leaving him behind. Even if she had to go to extreme lengths to do it.
