Started as a prompt for Bingo - Ruins
Ended in five chapters of Teldryn Sero going through an Urshilaku Harrowing before he is permitted to start completing the Nerevarine Trials.
This piece joins together with a second POV piece (Arkanis: Erra) Which I'm still working through and will be linked here on completion.
Should be read after Adherence (which explains some of the corprus weird)
Enjoy!

Summary
Wicked stalk him, righteous curse him. Prophets speak, but all deny.
Nibani Maesa’s voice trailed off as more of her grandmother’s words filled her head. She knew this prophecy—as did everyone else. It was a tale passed down for untold ages about the Nerevarine. But why this day? Why now? Rumors of an incarnate had not yet filtered down to the Urshilaku. Her mother would be the first to proclaim such a sign. She frowned, pondering over the words. Each line of the story was coming to her in waves. She turned, distracted, and looked out over the ash fields toward where the sea would be. She swore she heard the sound of crashing surf. Flashes of lightning filled her mind’s eye. Thunder boomed in her ears.
“Nibani?” Sul-Matuul asked. He took her hands again, snapping her back to the present moment. Where had she been just then? She swallowed hard. This gift of hers—if it could be called a gift—was disorienting. Her mother had warned it never did manifest with any kind of convenience in mind.
