Gale stood a few steps away, looking about at the mouth of the alleyway. Checking for witnesses, the poor little prude. “I believe we’re as alone as can be expected here.” Just a whisper, more to himself than Astarion. Gale paced forward, eyes bright in his face; he stopped an arm length away. Astarion wondered if the man wanted a bit of play, a bit of an attempt at innocence, or if he wanted Astarion to make the first move, to throw himself at his brave, strong savior.
While he pondered that, Gale spoke. “I must admit, for all my skill in the arcane, all my abilities in my field of magic, I have unfortunately always been somewhat lacking in social graces. For that reason, I’m at a loss on how to bring about this subject with any finesse.” Gale rubbed at his well trimmed beard.
Luckily, Astarion was very well versed in these particular social graces. Starting in another weak purr, “Oh, my sweet-”
“You’re a vampire spawn, correct?” Gale asked with his hands clutched behind his back.

When Lana is abducted by large squid monsters and gains a large lizard man as a companion, she does her best to go with the flow. However, strange quirks and even stranger teammates keep upping the ante as they try to solve their parasite issue. She does her best to keep calm in this new world, trying to solve one problem at a time. Although, having the large lizard man hovering over your shoulder half the time could make things more difficult. And if she does find him cute, she can unpack that thought later.
Just a nice slow burn romance with the default Durge and a monk isekai'd Tav named Lana. What could go wrong?

The story starts in Act 1 when all companions have already been recruited, and the party has established a well-working command structure. But with Tav acting so weird, chaos erupts among the companions, turning the journey into a sequence of strange encounters and creative ways of problem-solving.
Or a different form of coming-of-age story as in how Tav learns to become a leader.

Inspired loosely by my most recent playthrough where my game glitched, and Astarion broke up with me because he thought we didn't defeat Cazador for some reason?? (We did. He was there. Idk he's a drama queen.)
