Summary
Shirley left the door open for all of them, but she’s still surprised to hear it click open again. Luke opens the door like he’s trying not to make a sound, despite the fact that every one of them is staring right at him. They haven’t seen him in a while, after all, and Theo admits only to herself that it hurts to see her little brother look so small and defeated. She would never tell him.
The real shock comes when the door doesn’t close behind him, and a man about his same height walks in.
