What if instead, they had memories that weren’t quite theirs, but felt like they were enough that...what if Sam and Dean chose to follow the paths of those Sams and Deans before them, after them, and even during them, as they were destined to.
(Kind of inspired by Zachariah’s comment that they would always choose hunting, even without the memories of their canon lives.)
