What she instead finds is a city turned into a playground of terror. Soon meeting rookie cop Leon Kennedy, the two embark on a quest to escape from Raccoon City, while slowly uncovering the mystery behind the mysterious outbreak.
Resident Evil 3: Taking place on September 28th, 1998, Jill Valentine leaves her apartment and decides to make her way out of Raccoon City, which has turned into a sandbox for not only the undead, but for other gruesome, horrifying creatures that came about from disturbing mutations. Jill will encounter friends and foes along the way...but what else will she encounter?

Their work was cut short by the deadly T-virus outbreak in the city when a bioweapon known as Nemesis relentlessly pursued them as the remaining S.T.A.R.S. officers in town. On their mission to survive, they meet U.B.C.S. officer Carlos Oliveira and later on, "almost" R.P.D. officer, Leon Kennedy. Will they escape Raccoon City before the planned government missile strike?

And every night since Jill has suffered from horrible nightmares from the ordeal, and to make matters worse she can't even rely on her best friend Lyrabeth Rosethorn. A fellow S.T.A.R.S. Officer who hadn't been present during the Tragedy and Betrayal due to a family emergency. The only comfort and reassurance from her Best friend is through the careful and few letters they exchange.
Of course however it was just her luck that when she's close to leaving the city it becomes overrun with the dead. Now Jill must survive this never ending nightmare and save as many people as she can along the way. Of course that's hard when your constantly getting distracted by a pretty U.B.C.S. Corporal named Karin Sanders.
