He smoothed his hands along Mithrun’s sides, tracing the lines of his waist with gentle curiosity, soothing care more than animalistic pawing or grasping lust.
Mithrun’s lips twitched. “Nothing worth telling.”

Mithrun pours their drinks this time, letting the warm formless happiness diffuse into him. He takes just one more glass. Kabru drinks two, growing more expressive as the night wears on, every gesture more expansive. Even the small ones, when he covers his mouth when he gets too excited, the way his smile softens when he glances Mithrun’s way.
He lets Kabru talk. It was his turn, after all—after everything they had been through in the dungeon. All Mithrun does is listen, drinking it greedily in.

Kabru laughed, just a touch hollowly as he leaned close to brush their shoulders. "Yeah, yeah." He shook his head. "It's fine." He tried to tug his hand away, and Mithrun wouldn't let it go. Mithrun gave him an odd look, and he found himself wondering if he should say something, anything at all, just to make Mithrun get back into it. Lay down, go for a sub-par level of sex and then put this behind them entirely. “It's different than what I thought it'd be, but I really like it. It’s fun, you know? Different. Really... different, but it's exciting. We can always see how we feel later, but I'm ready to continue. I'll get the paper after. I don't mind."
