  Summary

  When Aro of the Volturi first received a suicidal Edward Cullen alongside his brothers in Italy, he had no way of imagining what was coming. Less than twenty-four hours later, the supposedly dead human girl the young vampire was ready to kill himself for is alive in the throne room, begging for his life. She is a loose end, a lit fuse that never should have been allowed to live-- but Aro can't bring himself to kill her.
