Summary
Mono is a well known faceless teen influencer online, most only knowing few details about him. Moving around from foster home to home, he eventually gets moved to Pale City. There's one problem however:
He's selectively mute.
Six has grown up with her mother, moving to the Pale City at the age of two. Her mother, known for her ownership of the restaurant The Maw, is a gentle soul who just wants the best for her daughter. Her friends, Arkay and Raine, grew up alongside her, Raine's parents taking over a massive TV station in Pale City known as "The Signal Tower," its old owner having disappeared several years ago due to some unforeseen circumstances. Arkay had been adopted into the family some time ago, his dad, the TV star of The Signal Tower, having gotten into legal trouble many years ago that left the boy scrambling for a hold.
And when a new boy shows up in their school, seemingly quiet and strange, they get closer than they expected to him. Secrets are revealed, and Mono doesn't know how much more he can take before it all falls apart.

Towering high above the southern Atlantic ocean is the Signal Tower, the dark heart of an ancient necropolis so vast it is a supercontinent all to itself, holding together the Shattered planet by the raw power of the Transmission. It seeks to bring all under its dominion, yet is hindered by colossal powers both external and internal. To this end, the Broadcaster works to accelerate this process.
Twenty years ago, a boy called Mono mantled the Broadcaster, becoming the newest caretaker of the Pale City. Yet he is haunted by the memory of a little girl called Six, whom he once met. Twenty years ago, the Maw once ruled the waves of the world, until its Lady was overthrown by a beast. The new Lady, forced into the role as replacement, seeks to overcome this beast but is beset on all sides, from monsters trying to court her to the Maw's own disobedience.
A new boy, a new Mono, arrives in her dominion, seemingly unaware of their shared past. In spite of her reservations, the Lady soon falls for him and seals their fate. The Tower takes notice, as it always must, and arranges for destiny to arrive. The World That Is must survive, forever, so that it may be healed.
For it is their destiny to save the world.
