Summary
The demon pivots on his heel, disregarding the furious Pillars and their weapons. He turns towards Ubuyashiki-sama who has appeared in the door.
“I will help you defeat the Demon King,” the demon announces, though that sentence is clearly unfinished. Giyuu stops breathing when the demon points right at him, “but that Slayer is mine.”The Slayer Corps is losing the war against Muzan.
Kyoujurou is an old and powerful demon able to help them defeat the Demon King—but he won’t do it for free.
Giyuu makes a deal fully expecting the story of his life to turn into a body horror, but willing to make that sacrifice.
Kyoujurou hopes for it to turn into a romance instead.
One of them is right.

Summary
In a different timeline, Makomo became the water Hashira, this won't make Giyuu or Sabito return to life, but at least she can honor their memories. In another timeline Sabito spared the demon girl after witnessing the bravery of her older brother, he sees a little of his younger self in him, at least he hopes the boy can protect his sister, unlike him, who couldn't save Giyuu during the final selection. Giyuu doesn't know what is happening; one moment he's slicing Lower Five's neck, another moment he faces two slayers who hold an uncanny resemblance to his late friends.

My past experiences have left me with pyrophobia, but Ubuyashiki specially appointed Rengoku Kyojuro as my mentor, and directly arranged for me to stay at the Rengoku family's main residence for the time being.

In the Hidden Kurobane Residence, laughter echoed as Aiyaka and Itsuki played in the yard, chasing animals without a care. From the veranda, their parents watched in silence.

Akihiro’s sharp gaze stayed on the children, his tone steady, pragmatic. “We must be strong… for them. Aiyaka may understand, but not Itsuki.”

Hoshika brushed her tears away, forcing a gentle smile. “Kids…”
They turned eagerly. “Yes, Mother?”
Akihiro beckoned them, stoic and calm. “Come here. It’s time for a family meeting.”
The siblings hurried over, unaware.
