Munkustrap shivers. Suddenly, and all over. Perhaps because of Alonzo’s breath. Alonzo can only bear to tilt back his head a little bit.
“It’s okay,” Munkustrap says, and – does he sound out of breath? “No, it’s okay.” Before Alonzo can say anything, he pulls him back, frozen, into his arms. And locks his own around him. And leans his head, each touch electrifying, against Alonzo’s. It’s his breath now that tickles underneath Alonzo’s ear, and his whole body stiffens in response. “Stay a moment.”
