Henry's hands reach across the table, taking Michael's hands in his own. He could feel the jittery bones and trembling skin on Henry's fingers. Henry never shook, not like that.
"I'm sorry. I wish I could've done more..." Henry's eyes were wet, and he could see the tear-marks Henry had attempted to hide. What was he saying? Was this about Evan? "Nobody even realized it wasn't him till now..."
"Get to the point." He ground out, harsher than intended. He couldn't sit here and listen to Henry wail incoherently, if he did, he'd probably end up crying too.
"Michael, your father's escaped prison."
