Summary
I never imagined I'd survive the tadpole. That mind flayer attempted to transform me into one of its own, taking away my will. Back then, I wasn't alone; I had Enfer, Astarion, Karlach, Wyll, Gale, Shadowheart, Lae'zel, and Halsin. We made it through the terror together, but I should have listened to Astarion and Shadowheart about that 2 a.m. walk. That night, I was kidnapped. Ten years later, I'm stuck inside a pod aboard a Drow ship in the skies. This fate is shared by four strangers: Adelaide, Nabrim, Daniel, and Sapphire. They don't know me, but I'm going to need them. My palm throbs with a purple mark, pulsating with a terrible need, a reminder of the control that still exists. The ship pitches, the storm yells, and I know the fight hasn't ended. My blood demands what it needs, but I've been through worse. I'm also capable of surviving this. Every second counts, every decision could mean the difference between life and death, and these strangers may be the only thing keeping me connected to what remains of me.
In other words, my dnd campaign based on BG3 with Kingdom Hearts aspects turned fanfiction.

Summary
Yvette is just a maid, who happens to be blind and a vampire spawn and now she got abducted by something she has never encountered before. The smells and sounds of somewhere and something she didn't recognize then something crawled into one of her eyes! Gross!
She has to navigate this wilderness blind with only her specially adapted thunder magic to hear the world around her, and its many terrible yet fascinating smells. One scent stands out above the others, of the person who blinded her over 130 years prior.
Astarion has agreed to keep her from walking into fires in exchange for her blood every night, but what will he do when she gets her eyes healed and no longer requires his guidance?

Wyll and Karlach were gone. Alive, at least, but in hell. Lae’zel was gone, too, borne away by Quulos to the Astral Plane, her saviour Prince dead in a pool of his own silvery Illithid blood. And Astarion.
Astarion had run away, burning.
The anxious panic from before bubbled up in Dolthedir’s chest and he pushed himself ungracefully to his feet as his thoughts were consumed with a singular purpose now that Karlach was beyond his help. He had to find Astarion. He needed to know that he was alright. They’d done too much, overcome too much for their final moments to be his running, terrified, to the shadows.
Dolthedir (Tav) loses half his friends to Avernus, the Astral Plane, and the sun on the day of their great triumph over the Absolute. The party at the Elfsong isn’t the same without them, but when Dolthedir retires early to bed, he is woken by the sound of an unexpected voice.

When Astarion comes to in the glaring brightness of the midday sun, he thinks he's died for the second time. Or perhaps it's an illusion. A hallucination.
But no, it's none of that. The world has simply gone mad. The old rules are gone, new ones have been slapped on instead, and no one has bothered to explain anything to him.
Before Astarion has time to process any of this, he's thrown into adventure with a bunch of strangers – emphasis on strange. But it's all right. He'll survive. He always does, whatever it takes.

Summary
This tale starts with Gale's affliction with the orb and is largely Gale's POV with minor Tara POV. Becomes alternating Gale/Tav's POV once Tav is introduced. An excerpt:
"After what felt like an eternity, the pain began to ebb from a razor-sharp stab to a burning throb. He took another deep, steadying breath. It wasn’t enough to banish the pain, but it was enough to give him the strength to endure it. He opened his eyes and met his own reflection in the looking glass. Beads of sweat ran from his brow, his hair damp with it. The veins on his face were dark under his skin, darkest around his left eye where the mark of the orb was a glow, trailing beneath the facial hair that he’d let grow out over the last few days, then snaking down his neck and wrapping around his heart center. It throbbed with light. A warning, a curse, a physical manifestation of the thing within him threatening to boil over and consume him. The only part of the image that resembled the man he’d been but a few short days ago glinted at his ear, his spell focus, Mystra’s star. It had been days, and his magic had not returned. He’d finally coaxed Mystra’s last words from Tara. His Goddess had abandoned him. He was truly and utterly alone."

Scratch barked and then tilted his head, to see if barking did anything. Gale pulled down his nightgown around his muddy thighs and said ‘My apol-’ He coughed wetly and dripping lumps of purple sprayed across his front. ‘Sorry,’ he managed. ‘None of that was very dignified. My sincerest apologies about your necklace. I know it meant a lot to you.’ He drank messily, urgently, straight from a jug.
((the necklace? The necklace?!)) Ileleste’s hands shook as he signed. ((let me look at your arm!))
‘Why?’ He wiped his beard down cleanly and precisely with an embroidered handkerchief. A drop of water ran down his chest, past the scars of the orb and soaked into his nightgown. It was still white in places, but mostly it was red, brown and yellow; stuck stiffly to his shaking knees. ‘Never better.’

The Orb is worse. Gale learns that the mute silk-farming drow he’s travelling with has knowledge of ancient Netherese magic but his attempt at finding a way for them to communicate properly fails. At every trance the drow's past creeps alongside him, becoming realer. The wreckage of Netheril binds them both. Can they escape? Will it be worth it?

"No -- I'm al -- well." He tried to chuckle. "I'm not alright. But I don't know how much good an artifact would do, any more. Thought I had more time. Foolish of me." He shoved weakly at her. "Go. You need to go. Gather the others. Get them out of here, before I --"
She wouldn't let him finish. "I could feed it my magic. It isn't the same as an arcane enchantment, but --"
"We have no idea if that would even work. It's too much of a risk. I can't let you--"
"I don't care!" Her voice broke. "I don't care. Let me help. Let me fix it. Please. It's what I'm for."

The Tav of this story, Sunatura, is found near Lord Astarion's palace while fainted on the ground and he allows her to stay in the palace. Eventually, she stays there longer... Getting thrown into a whirlwind of parasitic tadpoles and newly found companions was never a part of their well crafted future, but they’ve learned to roll with the punches. What they haven’t learned to deal with is handling that pale elven stranger who seems way too familiar and way too knowing of their games.
