Gale stood a few steps away, looking about at the mouth of the alleyway. Checking for witnesses, the poor little prude. “I believe we’re as alone as can be expected here.” Just a whisper, more to himself than Astarion. Gale paced forward, eyes bright in his face; he stopped an arm length away. Astarion wondered if the man wanted a bit of play, a bit of an attempt at innocence, or if he wanted Astarion to make the first move, to throw himself at his brave, strong savior.
While he pondered that, Gale spoke. “I must admit, for all my skill in the arcane, all my abilities in my field of magic, I have unfortunately always been somewhat lacking in social graces. For that reason, I’m at a loss on how to bring about this subject with any finesse.” Gale rubbed at his well trimmed beard.
Luckily, Astarion was very well versed in these particular social graces. Starting in another weak purr, “Oh, my sweet-”
“You’re a vampire spawn, correct?” Gale asked with his hands clutched behind his back.

We made it through the terror together, but I should have listened to Astarion and Shadowheart about that 2 a.m. walk. That night, I was kidnapped. Ten years later, I'm stuck inside a pod aboard a Drow ship in the skies. This fate is shared by four strangers: Adelaide, Nabrim, Daniel, and Sapphire. They don't know me, but I'm going to need them. My palm throbs with a purple mark, pulsating with a terrible need, a reminder of the control that still exists. The ship pitches, the storm yells, and I know the fight hasn't ended. My blood demands what it needs, but I've been through worse. I'm also capable of surviving this. Every second counts, every decision could mean the difference between life and death, and these strangers may be the only thing keeping me connected to what remains of me.
In other words, my dnd campaign based on BG3 with Kingdom Hearts aspects turned fanfiction.

This fanfiction novel was written in the alternating third person views of Vrak (The Dark Urge/OC) and Anari (my OC).
The novel takes off in the third person view of the Dark Urge as he discovers three things:
1) He has no memory of his past.
2) He's being held captive.
3) A sinister plot is brewing.Companions join Vrak, one by one, to overcome their calamity. Anari, a sorceress that had settled down from her days of adventuring, was ripped from the comforts of her home in Baldur's Gate, finding herself fighting her way back along side them.
Ages old secrets about Anari's family lineage reveal themselves and threaten to turn her world upside down the deeper they go. All while Vrak's Dark Urge threaten their lives as well as those around them.Warning: Gruesome imagery and explicit content may be unsettling for some readers.
Edit: Don't be alarmed! I changed the title from Baldur's Gate 3: A Fanfiction Novel to the one you see now. The previous title I felt was too cliche, but was all I had as I pondered what to name this. I thought I would pay homage to Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, and voila! More shadows :)
