He can't do anything too fancy, and his mom banned him from using the oven after a failed attempt at Natsu's birthday cake, but he can do other things. “Mm?” The boy looks half asleep, but Kageyama continues.
“I- well.” Okay, what the hell was that? Why has he done this to himself? Why did he even go on this stupid trip to begin with? “I didn’t mean what I said about you and em- volleyball and your face or whatever.” Nice one, Tobio.
Hinata doesn’t respond for a minute until Kageyama hears a “Nice kill Tanaka-san!”
Screw Hinata and his sleep talking.
“I hate you so much.” Kageyama sighs, turning off the flashlight. What a waste of his time. He could’ve just left it, but he just had to feel bad for the little shit.
Kageyama is just about asleep before he hears a ‘Toss to me!’ And Hinata receives a rightfully earned pillow in his face.Or: Hinata and Kageyama are prone to arguments, it’s kind of their thing. It’s what they’re known for. But this one was big, even for them. It wasn't just big, it was cruel, it was personal. And Hinata has to figure out how to get their relationship back to being less cruel and much less personal.
And Kageyama? He just needs to find a way to get through a practice without attacking his spiker who can’t shut up.

Kageyama and Yachi become friends. For some reason, Yamaguchi gets weird about it.

After a Karasuno team trip to the movies ends with a dramatic, over-the-top romance anime, the boys start joking about “main character energy.” Everyone laughs—except for four of them.
Kageyama Tobio is pretty sure he’s the brooding side character who never gets the guy. Hinata Shouyou is convinced he’s the comic relief—too loud, too weird, to ever be loved back. Tsukishima Kei doesn’t even think he’s part of the story; he’s just background, here for the dry commentary and long sighs. And Yamaguchi Tadashi? He’s certain no one even notices he’s in the frame.
They’re all wrong, of course.
This year, life suddenly starts playing out like a full-blown shoujo anime. There’s the umbrella scene in the rain. Tutoring sessions that turn strangely soft. Volleyball practice. Blushing. Almost-confessions. A dramatic sick day. A horror night. A surprise beach trip. The sports festival. Exam day. And the grand finale: the school festival, with all its scripted chaos, glitter, and possibly—not definitely, but possibly—a confession under the stars.
Twelve episodes. Four idiots in love. One final story.
This is totally not a romance anime.

Kageyama não fazia a mínima ideia de como foi parar naquele lugar.
Na verdade, ele tinha uma vaga ideia do responsável por isso. Um certo idiota de cabelo ruivo e sorriso radiante que em meio a pulinhos jurou por sua vida que era uma experiência única que não podia ser negada.
Uma festa. Com todos os ex-jogadores de vôlei. Na casa dos gêmeos. Com direito a um jogo muito especial no final da noite.
Óbvio que Tobio negou profundamente. A primeira vez que ele e Tsukishima entraram em um consenso sobre ser algo inútil e sem sentido. Porém, bastou algumas palavras de Yamaguchi e o loiro se virou contra seu aliado. Argumentando que apenas medrosos não compareciam nessas festas.Kageyama Tobio? Medroso? Isso era algo que o levantador não podia deixar passar.
E agora ali estava ele, em meio a dezenas de ex adversários e colegas de equipe, com as mãos amarradas atrás do corpo. Sentado em uma cadeira. Esperando a roleta girar no jogo apelidado pelos Miya de "Kageyama pediu".
