Summary
After Alpha Willis Todd’s death, his Omega, Catherine, and their pup, Jason, were left unclaimed, becoming property of the Rehabilitation Center for Unclaimed Property (RCUP). Slated for sale as slaves, their future seemed bleak. Bruce Wayne, a proper Alpha with three pups of his own and a sprawling estate, hadn’t planned on taking an Omega—but when a friend showed him their listing, their deep blue eyes stirred his protective instincts. Though he despises the system, Bruce’s need to protect them outweighed his morals, and he purchased them. Now, Catherine and Jason must adapt to life in a household ruled by an Alpha they barely know.

Summary
Jason sobs again, much too loud for the otherwise quiet of the room. Bruce will surely find him if he keeps acting so babyish. He knows the closet is a rather cliche hiding spot, but he didn’t know where else to go. There’s no where an alpha nose won't be able to sniff out. He just needed to buy enough time to make a plan. And now that he has Dick on the phone he can’t even get the necessary words out to ask for help.
“Nuh uh, no,” he whimpers, sounding much younger than he out to. “Dickie- please, I need, god, I can’t-” he wails. It’s so loud, he’s being so obvious. He’s going to get caught long before he gets any answers if he keeps this up, but he just can’t stop bawling. “Dickie,” he whines, helpless and hopeless in equal measures.
“I’m here, Jay, I’ve got you. Just tell me where you are and I’ll come get you, alright? I’ll keep you safe,” he assured him immediately, voice holding the same protective confidence Nightwing uses to comfort victims.
Jason wants to tell him that he’s safe, that Dick doesn’t need to drop everything and come save him. But he doesn’t know that.

Summary
Jason cursed, heart hammering in his throat but hands steady on the tire iron. His movements were fast and precise despite never attempting such a feat before. He had to give credit where it was due; the stupid protection systems would probably have scared off any other street rat daring enough to steal from The Bat, the first tire he'd managed to snag nearly electrocuting Jason as soon as he'd even tried loosening the first nut.
But Jason wasn't just any street rat.

Summary
His eyes are blown wide, glassy both with his streaming tears and the inevitable fuzziness that comes with presentation. No worthwhile pack member or parent would ever allow a child so young to be alone during such a vulnerable time. All at once, Dick realizes he can’t leave him behind. Clutching at his own stomach in a sad attempt at an embrace, crying so hard he seems close to vomiting, Dick can’t just drop him off at a facility.
As much as he’d like to think a professional Heat Center would be ideal for a kid like this, there’s a reason he himself has never gone to one. Even during his worst fights with Bruce over the years, he’s always felt safer locked in his bedroom than in some facility. With how out of it the kid is, it would be far too easy for someone to take the opportunity to traffic such a rare find. He can’t risk it, not without proper research and vetting to ensure the place is secure and credible. There’s no time, this pup is in heat now. He needs someone now and Dick is the only one here.

Alfred does his best to meet each change and new experience as best he can, but he is well aware that he has made plenty of mistakes. One can not live the life he has without accumulating more than their fair share of errors.
Jason is a young pup with wide-open eyes who has faced more trials and tribulations in his few short years than most will in their entire lives.
The harsh life paired with his open mind and heart has made the pup wise beyond his years, and he is about to force Alfred to confront what is undoubtedly one of his greatest mistakes.

Except safe from harm to Dick means keeping Jason forever his prisoner deep underground, unable to ever leave him. Jason, who still has his memories is not okay with this even if his stupid Pup-Biology feels safe.
