The Young Wolf—Savior of Humanity, Slayer of Gods, Hero of the City—felt as her heart melted, staring at the sight right before her eyes. A soft smile spreading across her lips and honey brown eyes brightening with pure adoration.
Her fiancée—her lovable, strong, beautiful, stubborn fiancée—was standing in the middle of their nursery at three o’clock in the morning while she softly sang a lullaby as she rocked the cradle back and forth.
They both were in nothing but their sleepwear—the Titan in underwear and a baggy shirt, Mara in a satin nightgown—and although it was a somewhat chilly night, the Young Wolf could feel nothing but warmth down to her very bones from her place standing in the doorway of the nursery.
This, was what she fought for.
To see moments like this.
To see her fiancée, Mara Sov singing their infant child to sleep.
