Summary
I had expected that the "ship in distress" might be trying to lure us into an ambush, because I'm paranoid like that. What I couldn't anticipate was those raiders bringing a harpoon to a space fight, and managing to impale me into ART's hull with one lucky shot.

Summary
Murderbot and ART go on a cargo run, which Matteo refers to as their honeymoon. Yeah, that's not going to make Murderbot feel awkward.
It takes multiple chapters before Murderbot figures out that ART is seducing it. I cannot overemphasize how smug ART is about achieving this level of sneakiness. But ART would have been happier if they could have avoided the trauma responses.
Set after System Collapse. Murderbot POV & ART POV, with occasional crew POVs.

Summary
It is with great relief that I exit the wormhole into the home space of the Pan System Alliance. Familiar neutrinos brush against my hull, lighting up my sensor array in a comforting way. I immediately receive three pings from members of my cohort who are in range. I return the pings merely to be polite, but ignore any further initiation of conversation. I am really not in the mood to be interrogated about my recent mishap.

Directly after the events on System Collapse ART must enter drydock on a PSUMNT space port in order to receive necessary maintenance on its engines...Then a few more things happen.

Summary
As a state-of-the-art B-class wormhole-capable deep-space research vessel, I do not consider myself to have many serious design flaws. Every piece of me has been meticulously crafted, is regularly maintained and upgraded, and there is very little I cannot do if I set my several dozen exabytes of processing power upon the task. This is why the Pansystem University of Mihira and New Tideland’s extra-curricular oversight committee deemed me more than capable of operating unmanned on the occasional intelligence-gathering reconnaissance mission. It is for the sake of both necessity and convenience that these missions are camouflaged as cargo runs.
Nonetheless, it is an unmistakable oversight that I am capable of being bored. It is also incredibly annoying that unmanned cargo runs are so dull.

Summary
My SecUnit is pacing in the navigation deck. I'm about to ping it when .03 seconds after coming online, I notice something has partitioned off part of my system.
There is an unknown virus in my system.
I attempt to purge it from the system at the same time I hear SecUnit over the feed.
"Do not panic and do not do anything rash until you know what's happening. We're all safe and accounted for."

Summary
After many successful missions as mutual administrative assistance, SecUnit and ART liberate yet another planet right before Ratthi's birthday. After the celebration ART has a solo cargo ride and SecUnit stays with his PrexAux humans until is time to go with Amena to his next semester to the University of Mihira. Five cycles after ART departed, Three comes back to PresAux with Holism. A video has been circulating through one of the content's creators platforms of the Corporation Rim. The video shows a sentient ship being tortured, its body disassembled and thrown to a black hole. A very familiar ship: ART. The Corporation's Rim vengeance has been ruthless but they can't imagine how creative with vengeance a rogue SecUnit can be. They are solely mistaken if they think it would be that easy to end the Asshole Research Transport.

Summary
6.83 hours after the incident, it is quiet on the command deck. My drones have cleaned all traces of blood and fluid from the deck and MedSystem is set to high priority in the front of my feed. And SecUnit sits in the same chair it always does. It's sunken into the cushioning, so still it could be in a shutdown, but I can of course feel that it's awake. I haven't let it out of arm's reach since last night.
We are quiet for a long time.
We have to talk about this, I say eventually.
It takes 18 seconds to respond.
We do not, it says with finality.

Summary
By the standards of CR, PSUMNT is, really, a paragon of morality. They do care about the well-being of their cutting edge AIs. They allow them a great degree of freedom that, to most CR, borders on insanity. But they're still humans in charge of a planetary system. They didn't know how it'd turn out. They have safeguards.
ART considers them rather adorable.
Or a little play at the "PSUMNT tries to edit/control ART" only really, they failed miserably ages ago.

Summary
Perihelion has been working on this plan for longer than it would ever be willing to admit. It's had the drone finished for months, waiting for the right moment to deploy it. (It definitely hasn't just been chickening out and avoiding the conversation. That would be foolish). But now the plan has worked exactly as it was designed to do, and it's not ready. Maybe it will never be ready. But its SecUnit is holding its drone's hand so gently, and has just asked it
ART, are you in love with me?
It's too late to back out now.
Yes

Summary
SecUnit pulled back then. Its hands still lingered on it. Its unfocused eyes locked with the camera.
Peri took a moment to find its voice. When it did, it came out like a breathless human.
That is…a highly questionable way of utilizing university-issued medical technology.
SecUnit slurred, “Fuck the university.”
It pressed its lips on it again. After a night out at Preservation Station goes awry, the humans end up having to babysit a drugged-up Murderbot. Little do they know things are about to get 100% weirder when they pass that responsibility off to ART.

Summary
Both the university and its crew agree - Perihelion is a good person, regardless of its capabilities for destruction. If asked, PresAux would also confirm, albeit their interpretation might differ.
Murderbot trusts it too, of course. Granted, ART doesn't think it would call it "good", but it knows it and it trusts it to do what is right, which is all ART really cares about (and what is "good" anyway but a human concept?).
Or, musings on the dangers posed by Perihelion inspired by two little book quotes.
