Summary
Katolis and Xadia are healing. Callum, Rayla and Ezran have succeeded in their goal. Everyone is moving forward. That's at least what has been the prevailing narrative over the past two years. It must be true; dragons are visiting Katolis for the first time, and alliances are being formed.
But are they really mending? What raging tensions still exist underground that have not been brought to light? Ezran is confronted with the harsh reality of these questions when a party to celebrate their new Xadian allies goes awry, a painting is vandalized, and his ensuing speech fails to capture the hearts and minds of his people. When a red-haired human finally speaks up, claiming to be the one who desecrated the portrait in the first place, everyone is finally hit with the cold, hard truth of reality, and moving on might be harder than originally planned.
