His dedication to the order and role as a monk made certain that hesitation had no place in his mind at the time. And so, he disappeared. Many questioned the reason behind his disappearance. Especially since those who searched for him could find no trace as to where he'd even gone.
Only the temple—and his beloved, Sydney—knew, their worries festering as Feralia's absence stretches on for a great length of time. Doubts arose. And fears of Feralia never returning became prevalent.
Eventually, he returns, successful in his retrieval of the spear.
But his light has dimmed.
His vow has been broken.
And the left side of his face is obscured.He doesn't talk as much as he used too, either.

He sniffs, and squints. Pulling the notification bar down to tap on the text with a wince as the bright white light hurts his eyes, and it takes him a second to adjust himself to the sight of one new video file sent directly to him, but he gets there. Something he'd ordinarily brush off, especially coming from an unkown number, but he's half asleep and not in the right mind to act appropriately... So it just makes sense to him to hit play as soon as he realises what it is. Though what a mistake!
