With a job he liked, a decent apartment in a city where people were slowly becoming more open to the idea of vigilantism and a badass superhero girlfriend, life was finally getting a sense of normality for Dick Grayson. That is, until he wakes up trapped in a hotel with 15 other people and a mechanical bear with a taste for sadism.
Forced to make-do with his new surroundings, he is given a choice; live out his days in the hotel until he dies, or disrupt the peace by killing another guest.

Shuichi just wishes, really wishes, that he could be okay, like really okay. It’s been two years. Two years is plenty of time to get over it when you’re someone who was hardly affected. The nightmares should’ve gone away by now. He hasn’t gotten one in a while. He’d even started to think that… well, that he was getting better. They say recovery has ups and downs, that it’s never all the way up all the time, but as good as Shuichi is at remembering the platitudes, in application it’s a little bit more… complicated. He doesn’t expect anyone else’s recovery to be linear, but with himself… he can’t help thinking that it’s a reflection of his own negligence, that he hasn’t gotten over it yet.
And he’s so, so tired of crying.

There were some forest trails that he went on so often, he knows all the best creeks and clearings, shortcuts through the underbrush and the places to stop so that he could sleep underneath the stars. Are those memories… based in reality? If Rantaro goes to Puerto Princesa, will he find that same steep slope where he realised that Kikuko wasn’t trailing behind him anymore? Or is it all… fake, just like Kikuko?
