It wouldn’t do for a random citizen, or force-forbid a Senator, to get caught outside when the engineers and maintenance crews were sporadically testing the weather controls and flood-prevention mechanisms by sending down tonnes of water in sudden floods throughout the days. So, Fox and his Guard were tasked with rounding up stragglers. And maybe, a couple of quiet days is just what his battalion needs.

    It was set to stun. He set it to stun. He specifical told the guard with him that they were going after a vod and needed to set their guns to stun.
    Sure, the Chancellor had been very specific with his orders. ARC-5555 had attempted to assassinate the Supreme Chancellor and should be terminated on site, but this was a vod.

    This was Fives, Rex’ika’s vod’ika. Rex loves his vod’ika, Fox couldn’t harm him no matter what the Chancellor would do if he didn’t follow through with the orders he was given. Rex loves his vod’ika and Fox loves his Rex’ika, he would never be able to do anything that would cause him pain.

    So why was there a smoking hole in in ARC-5555’s chest?

    Ordering his pilots to the LAAT/i’s he hoped they could cut some of them off and destroy distract them for long enough that troops on the ground could escort Senator Amidala out of the vault, to a ship and out of harms way. But just as he was about to relay that to the Senator a few of the droid bombers targeted the still grounded ships, and engaged with the few that had managed to start taking off. Making quick work of their ships, Thorn knew they were stuck and would need to change tactics if they were to have any hope of escaping.

    1 - No one wanted the Guard to join the 501st.
    2 - No one wanted the ex-Coruscant Guard anywhere actually
    3 - The feeling was mutual.

    Unfortunately, orders were orders, and it was General Skywalker who had the dubious honour of taking them in to make them "decent, integrated clones," or some shit like that. Until they all die killed by droids, that is.

    And again, he had only accepted on insistence – read "quasi-harassment" – of Senator Amidala.

    What a wonderful direction their life was taking...

    Fortunately, he still had his brothers.
