Itachi is the one who is supposed to be stabbed.
They both freeze as the sound of metal piercing flesh echos around them.The hilt of the knife is in both of their hands and one of them is stabbed.

Kind of a sequel for "The Wall between the Rain and Me". Kisame is asked to take care of a very distraught Itachi who had planned for his problems to end with his death. Instead, they only got bigger and he needs a break. On drugs. Someone sends a medic. Said medic is shocked to see her crush's nemesis alive and unwell, but she did take an oath, so Sakura does her best to help. Someone very special asked her, after all. But a drugged Itachi slips up and blurts out too much of the truth in front of Kisame, who goes into full duty mode. Sakura saves the tweaking damsel in distress and is in turn saved by said damsel's brother who takes them to one of Orochimaru's old hideouts where they begin to unpack their issues - but maybe, they should burn the whole suitcase instead?
