Summary
After a devastating accident in the forge leaves Henry’s hands burned and maimed, he no longer dares to dream of returning to his father’s side at the anvil. In the quiet of his recovery, he finds solace in the YouTube channel of Hans Capon, a charismatic historical reenactor and beloved streamer whose passion rekindles something in him.
Unbeknownst to Henry, his parents submit his final creation, forged before the accident, to the Kutná Hora medieval fair’s craftsmen’s competition. When his work wins and the family is invited to host their own stall at the festival, Henry’s long-buried dream flickers back to life.
Overjoyed, he misses a small but fateful detail: Hans Capon’s community post that very night, announcing he too will attend the festival... as one of its royal guests.
