The Witness has a right to everything he is. Mind, body, soul, anything. He's proven that plenty of time already. That doesn't mean that Rhulk actually expected any sort of reward for this, aside from the privilege of serving It to begin with.

In a plane parallel to ours, a Vanguard research scientist [Exo, F] stumbles into the Darkness and is tasked with an inauspicious favor for a Disciple of the Witness, namely Rhulk. Unbeknownst to her, this favor begins to evolve into a friendship with the entrapped form of Nezarec as she collects the cursed pieces of his physical body to pull him out of his forsaken prison. As their friendship grows, she severs her ties with the Vanguard in pursuit of the ever-impending call from Darkness.
*I will try to be diligent in updating the synopsis and tags as chapters progress! As it stands, this work is Not Rated. The seventh chapter is sexually suggestive, but the rest of the story is just science-y, hahaha.
