After the abandonment of the Garden view center, the place has started to run down and become infested with ichor. Toons try to go on with day to day life and go out in groups to scavenge every now and again for extra resources.
But one day one toon goes missing and unreportand for days, Shelly. Some toons go out to try and search for her but with no luck, with Bassie and her boyfriend, Soulvester being apart of those toons. The nagging feeling of Shelly still being out there pulled at her.

Summary
It's been months, maybe over a year, since Gardenview shut down, and the toons have been surviving fine enough, even as Ichor slowly corrupts them, wearing on their sanity and mutating their bodies. Dandy's doing his best to keep the place powered and his friends safe, but ever since the twisteds started showing up shortly after the shutdown things have only gotten more difficult as injuries and sickness took root, and things are starting to reach a breaking point.
Several of the toons have been pretty severely infected with whatever the Ichor that the twisteds consist of, most of the rest with varying stages of corruption, and only a lucky few being totally healthy. At this point Dandy is just thankful not one of his fellow toons has been killed.

Vee notices her handler is missing and ends up getting Astro to help her which leads to a particular fossil toon also mentioning her handler was missing. Before the three of them knew it or could get answers to where their handlers went, a trio of new handlers for the toons are deployed.
Vee isn't sure how to handle it but doesn't bother Astro as the toon was also coping, little did she know, this switch of handlers was about to reveal the dark and the light for both toon and human.

PS. All handlers mentioned are my own OCs and are not based off any other character besides the toon's personality. This does not include Dandy's and Sprout's Handlers of which existence and design + base personality belong to the Dandy's world canon
